Official opening of new Spire Cath Lab
New Cath Lab opens at Southampton Spire
On 1 October the new Cardiac catheter laboratory otherwise known as 'Cath lab' was opened at Southampton Spire by GB Olympic Gold medal rower Lola Anderson. This state of the art new operating room contains x-ray equipment used to do important cardiac procedures including valve work (TAVI and TEER), pacemaker and device implantation and angiograms.
