Consulting rooms

At Southampton Spire there is a spacious outpatient clinic waiting area, which is next to the office, non-invasive test room and consulting rooms. At Southampton Spire we have large quiet and spacious consulting rooms for our private cardiology consultations. Photos of Southampton Spire can be seen below.

Patients can also be seen at the Nuffield hospital, which similarly has spacious relaxed outpatient waiting areas and clinic rooms, as can be seen in the photos below.

Non-Invasive Test Room

This has two echo machines, a treadmill for stress echos and facilities to fit heart rhythm and blood pressure monitors.

Cardiac Cath Lab

A new state of the art cardiac catheter laboratory was opened in October 2026. This is a large sterile operating room with state of the art x-ray facilities. We are able to do angiograms, pacemakers and valve procedures (including TAVI, mTEER and tTEER) in this facility. For patients with more complex anaesthetic needs the Spire has a modern intensive care and high dependency unit with first class facilities, should you need it. This is well supported by comfortable ward facilities upstairs where you will wait before your procedure and recover after it.

Satellite Clinics

In addition to out patient appointments at Spire Hospital Southampton we also provide satellite clinics at Lymington, Nuffield Chandlers Ford and at Sarum Road Winchester. You may be seen by prior arrangement at any of these clinics, where capacity allows. Most tests including ECGs, Holter monitors and Echocardiograms are not available at all satellite clinics and need to be done at Spire Hospital Southampton before you are seen at a local clinic. Lymington clinics are subject to capacity and when this is not possible patients need to be seen at Southampton Spire. Nuffield clinic and Sarum Road clinics are available most weeks.
